CHEVROLET HALL OF FAME MUSEUM ADDS MUSEUM CURATOR/ DIRECTOR

The Chevrolet Hall Of Fame Museum would like to welcome Indianapolis native Howard Kirchenbauer to the City of Decatur and the CHOFM, as the new museum curator and director.

Howard brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. After spending 25 years with National Sales and Leasing (1982-2007) and working closely with General Motors, Chevrolet, and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the CHOFM is excited to have Howard on board. Mr. Kirchenbauer was a big part of the Indianapolis 500 and Brickyard 400 Pace Car/ Festival Car programs, during his tenure with National Sales and Leasing.

"With the CHOFM bringing on Budget Truck Rental, we feel Howard will transition into his new position nicely and take the CHOFM to the next level" says LaVelle Hunt, museum owner.

Hunt also adds that he would like everyone to support Mr. Kirchenbauer in his new role at the CHOFM, and is certain everyone will find his knowledge very interesting.

On Saturday May 8th, what turned out to be a very cold and windy racing evening proved to be a success and ended in a victory in the feature for the Chevrolet Hall Of Fame Museum car of Mark Tullis, driving the T2 Chevrolet!! The first rivalry between the team cars of Mark Tullis and the T2G of Jeff Graham has been broken! The evening started out with a dominating performance in the heat race, taking the victory over the second and third place cars by a straight away lead! Then in the feature starting from the third place position, the team hit the setup perfect as the car moved into the second position, and then into the lead with one lap to go. On the 19th lap after Mark crossed the finish line to take the victory, the caution came out, resetting the field for a one lap dash!! Mark was not only able to hang on for the win but actually pulled away, for a strong victory over two of the very best at Macon Speedway, Kyle Logue and Dave Crawley Jr. The win has moved the T2 of Mark Tullis into a very close and comfortable 2nd place in the point standings in the modified class just behind Dave Crawley Jr.

The rivalry continues on Saturday May 15th and every Saturday, at the famed Macon Speedway 1/5 dirt oval owned by Nascar Stars Tony Stewart, Ken Schrader, Kenny Wallace and Bob Sargeant of Track Enterprises. Macon Speedway is located in Macon, IL. If you want to see some of the most exciting close quarters racing you will see anywhere in the country, you need to take your family and visit the mighty Macon Speedway!!! It is a great night of entertainment, very inexpensive for the whole family! For a complete schedule: www.maconracing.com
