It's that time again when the most anticipated Collector Car & Memorabilia event in Central Illinois takes Place! The Second Annual Chevrolet Hall of Fame Museum's Classic Car & Memorabilia Auction once again will take place in Decatur, IL. This event will take place on September 28th - 30th, 2012. The biggest sale you'll most likely ever experience in the Midwest is happening in Decatur, IL. There will be up to 250 Classic, Antique and Special Interest Automobiles rolling across the block for auction on Saturday and Sunday. Memorabilia will include gas pumps, porcelain and Neon signs and much much more!!!

Don't miss this Second Annual Event, as the inaugural year proved to be a huge success for buyers and sellers alike! Over 50% of the automobiles sold bringing a very fair price for buyers and sellers. There was a great crowd of bidders on hand that saw a very nice selection of quality and rare automobiles for bid and lots of collector signs, gas pumps and memorabilia. A great time was had by all! IT"S TIME NOW TO CONSIGN FOR BEST AUCTION SLOTS!!! FIRST COME - FIRST SERVED!!!

The schedule has changed a bit from 2011, as this year becomes a three day event.

• Friday September 28th will show case a preview party at 3:00 pm (CST) and the memorabilia auction will follow at 7:00 pm (CST) Friday.
• Saturday September 29th Classic Cars will start rolling across the block at 10:00 am (CST) just after the National Anthem.
• The car auction will again resume on Sunday September 30th at 10:00 am (CST).

Again this year, the event will have some of the best auctioneers and staff in Illinois to assist in the process of auctioning off your automobiles and memorabilia. Les Crandall from Central Illinois Auctions and Jack Wilkerson from Hayden-Wilkerson Auction Service (both Decatur, IL. based firms) will be the Auctioneers. Event organizer LaVelle Hunt feels he has the best auction staff he could put together for this great Central Illinois event for the second year in a row.

Make sure you arrive early to get registered and get your bidder pass. A completed Bank LETTER of CREDIT will need to be on file to be able to bid on automobiles. If there is not a LETTER OF CREDIT on file and you wish to bid on automobiles, you will be required to leave a $500 refundable deposit in order to get a bidder pass for bidding on Saturday and Sunday. NO EXCEPTIONS.

For the Second year, Hawthorn Suites near the museum in Decatur will be Host Hotel for this year's event. Hawthorn Suites address is: 2370 S. Mount Zion Rd. Decatur, IL. 62521 phone (217)864-9311. The hotel is just minutes from the museum as well as Decatur Airport for those flying in. By mentioning the attendance of the event at the museum will get you a $79.00 rate while rooms last.

For 2012, fees and cost will see no change from last year's event. Cost to the public is free and entry fee for automobiles is $250.00 per unit. There is no consignment fee for memorabilia however the buyer and seller fee will remain at 15% for memorabilia and 5% for automobiles, which is the lowest in the industry.
